Many parties on top of everyday obligations will leave everyone with less sleep than normal. But when you can, take the time to rest. If you are exhausted and try to force yourself to workout, it is not going to help anything. Being tired causes you to drink more caffeine, which causes a crash later, which causes the need for a sugar boost during the afternoon to get you through the end of the day. Think about it: if you give yourself time to rest, you won’t start the overeating cycle, and you won’t need to burn the extra calories at the gym. Listen to what your body needs, and if it needs to rest, let it. Even if that means skipping a party you were planning on attending. You aren’t going to have fun if you are too tired to enjoy it!
