Another friend’s birthday and another excuse to make treats! I am a recent huge fan of Pinterest…have you heard of it? It is like a twitter feed for fun and inspiring pictures, whether it’s food, style, crafts, words of wisdom, etc. I love it and so does most every other girl I know. It is a perfect way for me to organize pictures of everything I want to make. I recently saw these cookies that consisted of a chocolate chip cookie on bottom, Oreos in the middle, and a brownie on top. I decided that I would try this tri-level cookie deliciousness with some of my favorite ingredients…chocolate and peanut butter.
What you will need:
Peanut Butter Cookie Supplies
Box of brownies (I think I used Duncan Hines? Any will do)
Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
Start with a good peanut butter cookie recipe. I used the peanut butter kiss cookie recipe, minus the hershey kiss:
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 9×13 pan and fill the bottom of it with the cookie dough. Then place how ever many reese’s cups you feel like on top of the cookie dough:
And then put them in the oven for about 45 minutes. Stick a toothpick through the center to make sure the brownie is cooked, but a little undercooked and gooey brownie never hurt anyone 🙂
Since these are long gone and I am on vacation, I treated myself with a hot fudge peanut butter milk shake yesterday and it was oh so yummy. Craft posts to come next week since I will only be eating steamed broccoli.
