Contrary to your indescribable fantasies, the diets can be easily described as restrictive, boring, tasteless, soul-sucking, social life-killing.
The start of that diet is a glimmer of hope that your life can and will be better.
The get-out-of-jail-free card.
The wind beneath your wings!
But let me fill you a little secret…
The diet is not helping anything.
Instead of restricting, you need to add in food that tastes good to you and satisfies your body’s needs. Instead of eating boring, tasteless food, you need to add flavor and variety to your food and life.
Instead of ruining your social life, you need to enjoy your social life in a way that brings you energy.
Instead of a soul-sucking diet, you need to start soul-searching to help you figure out what activities, career, and relationships will fill your soul on a regular basis.
The diet is not your answer.
Listen to your body.
Love your body.
Take care of your body.

I’m here, doing this work because I’ve been there too. I started counting calories at the age of 12 and spent the following 15 years trying every diet out there. I later learned that the diet was simply a hope for a better life – one where I fit in, looked as pretty as the other girls, and was able to relax and enjoy more — rather than stressing to be and look a certain way.
Once I found intuitive eating, all that changed for me. I learned to eat the right foods for my body while still enjoying my favorite foods, learned how to love and take care of myself on a regular basis, and learned that the best version of me is ME — not me trying to be someone I’m not.
These days, I’m living my best life – spending time with my baby boy, Cooper, practicing yoga, traveling around Europe, drinking tea + red wine, working on my latest craft project, and eating the best chocolate in the whole wide world (I do live in Switzerland, after all). As much as I love and miss my hometown in the San Francisco Bay Area, my husband, son and I are happy to call Zurich home.
