Being in a foreign country, it sure is nice to have familiar faces just a train ride away. I headed to Nuremberg, Germany last weekend to visit my college friend, Melissa, for a relaxing weekend getaway. We went bowling, shopped, made some delicious comfort food, ate some delicious German food, and did some crafting. A simple weekend with good friends is sometimes just what the doctor ordered. Except the doctor also ordered me to quit travelling so much and catching colds on public transit. But that order went in one ear and out the other, and we are hitting the road again this weekend for our honeymoon! Runny nose, sore throat, and all.
Here are some pictures of what I have been eating lately to get bikini-ready:
Giant Valentine’s chocolate bars.
Mushrooms and Dumplings from Joy the Baker, made in Nuremberg (this was probably the best meal I’ve had in 2014…seriously amazing).
New York Style Bagels. Melissa and my first attempt. We have some perfecting to do…
And fresh baked bread from Jamie Oliver.
For some reason, I haven’t been able to achieve those six pack abs prior to our honeymoon. But, for this reason, I don’t think I’ll care:
And we are off to Seychelles! See ya in a week.

Haha, oh how I wish foods like this helped you achieve a flat stomach. I would be the most in shape girl in the world. Have so much fun on your honeymoon! And please posts some pics on Instagram so I can live vicariously through you : )

Those Nurnberg bagels might become as famous as Nurnberg sausages.
Sounds like that bowling/baking/crafting weekend was a ton of fun.
